Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!
I’m celebrating the day of love by choosing 4 Acts of Kindness to perform this week and by sharing with you more than 10 other ideas in case you would like to join me in this Valentine’s Day celebration.
This video is filled with ideas of things you can do to be loving and kind to a stranger, a loved one, your significant other and yourself.
If you would like to join me in doing these 4 Acts of Kindness to others in your life, please just let me know by replying to this email and I will lovingly hold you accountable privately or publicly, which ever way feels right to you!
Pick one from each list below (the highlighted bold ones are what I will be doing)
1. To a stranger:
Write a thank you letter to the mailman, or someone that helped you at a store.
Pay someones meter parking or parking spot.
Let someone go before you at the cash register line (or any other line).
Leave an extra generous tip or a nice thank you note to a service provider.
Make an effort to approach someone and start a conversation by telling them what you like about them or ask them how they are doing.
Bring flowers to someone at a nursing home or hospital.
2. To someone you know or a friend:
Pick a friend or someone you know and send them a handmade gift or a handmade card
Bring your co-workers a special treat
Offer a couple hours of free babysitting or any other service or help you could provide.
Make a quick and personal video for someone
Call a friend and consciously speak nice things about him (her), others and yourself
3. To your significant other or yourself:
Separate a day to take care of the things you know he (she) doesn’t like doing such as washing the car, cooking, ironing, filling up their tank, cook their favorite meal, etc. Make it a day in honor of how much you appreciate him (her).
If you aren’t in a relationship with somebody, remember you are always in a relationship with yourself. Take yourself to a magical place, make a special recipe for yourself, volunteer, buy a nice gift for yourself, invite a friend. make sure you choose activities that you never do. At the end of the day, meditate and journal about your act of kindness to yourself.
4. Anonymous act of kindness
Perform one act of kindness that makes you feel out of your comfort zone, make sure no one finds out you were the giver. If someone finds out, try doing another one until you are able to stay anonymous.
